Rosemary’s baby, a terrifying novel by Ira Levin

Rosemary’s baby is one of the bestseller novels in horror fiction. This novel is written by Ira Levin. Ira Levin is a native of New Yorker. He writes his first novel in 1953, and three films have been made based on it.

Rosemary's Baby is the second book published by Ira Levin and it becomes the best-selling horror novel of the 1960s, selling more than 4 million copies.

The remarkable success and unparalleled reception of "Rosemary Baby" are so great that one of its most famous film adaptations were made by the famous director Roman Polanski.

The book focuses on Rosemary Woodhouse, who recently moved into a large apartment on Bramford Street with her husband, Guy.

Hatch, a friend of Rosemary and Guy, tells them that Bramford is a notorious mansion, and many people knowing there as Black Bramford. Witches once lived there, and some years ago two women who were known to eat children also lived there. Rosemary laughing and says these things happening nowadays everywhere.

Guy is an actor and he only played small roles and is therefore involved in his profession.

Rosemary and Guy warned again that Bromford has a mysterious history of witchcraft and murder, but they decide not to pay attention anyway.

For a while, Rosemary wanted a baby, but Guy believes they have to wait for her career to stabilize.

A few days after Rosemary and Guy moved to their new apartment in Bramford, their neighbors Minnie and Roman have invited them for dinner. Minnie and Roman are an elderly couple who are living on the same floor in Bramford.

Mini is a voyeuristic lady and asks Rosemary about everything. Roman does not believe in God and always criticizes theists.

Rosemary becomes pregnant and their neighbors Minnie and Roman have close relation with Rosemary and Guy. Minnie and Roman bring some drinks and food for Rosemary and after that, terrible things happening in the lives of Rosemary and her friends. Rosemary is suspicious of Minnie and Roman and feel that they have a plan for her child.

“God is DEAD! Roman thundered. God is dead and Satan lives! The year is one, God is done! The year is one, Adrian’s begun! Hail Satan! They cried, Hail Adrian! Hail Adrian! Hail Satan!”

This is a small piece of the dialog from the last chapter of the book.

I think this novel is a wonderful struggle between God and Satan.

Mini and Roman are members of a satanic group, and they turned Rosemary’s baby into a Satan by taking strange drugs and various potions to Rosemary.

This is a terrifying novel and I watched Rosemary’s baby film also. I love this novel, but I don’t recommend it to someone who is a coward. If someone likes horror movies and novels in horror fiction, this one is the best forever.

I have read the original version of the book, not the easy reader because, in easy reader versions, we can’t find more details.
